This exciting adventure is the second book in the Hammie Series, and builds on the world introduced in our beloved debut, Hammie and the Lost Princess of Koh Ang Thong, published two years ago. The new edition not only continues the journey—it also includes a completely upgraded version of the original story, retold with new illustrations and even more heart.

When Chakrit, or “Hammie” as he becomes known, sets off to spend his birthday camping on the island of Koh Ang Thong in Thailand, he has no idea what awaits. The archipelago is in grave danger as the gecko King and Queen grow weaker by the day, while their beloved Princess has mysteriously vanished. Sinister lizards, led by the fearsome Gingga and backed by Sting and his army of vicious mosquitoes, plot to seize control and plunge the islands into chaos.
Luckily, Hammie isn’t alone. His new friends—Goggles the spectacled langur monkey, Lekkie the brave leech, Sally the clever snake, and Billy the watchful hornbill—enlist his help to find the missing Princess. But before he is allowed to meet the King and Queen, Hammie must face three demanding tests to prove his courage. As he bravely attempts them with the help of his friends, nothing prepares him for the biggest surprise of all that will change everything.
With the royal family’s time running out, Hammie and his animal companions set off on a daring sea voyage in search of a legendary life-saving potion hidden on a distant island in the Andaman Sea. Along the way, they face unexpected dangers. With the help of a mystical mermaid, a friendly batfish, and a dolphin, their quest leads them to the nomadic Moken sea gypsies, who hold an ancient secret vital to saving the King and Queen.
As they return, Gingga strikes, and it looks like their quest will fail. But Hammie has a secret of his own, and a clever plan to stop the lizards from taking over the islands.
