Some of Switzerland’s most beautiful mountain scenery lies between the lakeshore (Lake Geneva) town of Montreux through the mountains to Interlaken, a journey which is best made via train. From Interlaken, take the regional and local trains up to Jungfraujoch high in the Alps, and then after that visit the mountain villages of Grindelwald and then the twin villages of Murren and Gimmelwald.
